The NBA Dribbled Out

Read Malcolm’s piece on Grantland, and then read Suga’s post for NBA Offseason. This is important for understanding the finances of NBA owners since there’s been a collective veil (or iron wall) blocking a lot of the information available. With Gladwell’s name cache, he can poke some holes into that veil, and we get a peek at the profits missing from the BRI (Basketball-Related-Income).
I’m still not entirely on the player’s side, but Gladwell’s post explicates owner’s (TRUE) income and places it in relation to Stern’s dogmatic repetition about the NBA’s economic distress—even after they had one of the most popular NBA season’s in years for 2010-2011.
Just read both pieces. You can thank me later.
