The NBA Dribbled Out

I’ve mentioned this as an aside before, but Rajon Rondo really comes to play when he’s got a national TV audience watching. He’s similar to a young Baron Davis, who got up for really big games, but failed to keep that energy when the crowd wasn’t excited or the game was only showing on local channels. 

It begs the question, why can’t Rajon play this well for every game? He would have the world’s audience watching in the Olympics, but it’s not for him, so we’re left with these fleeting moments of brilliance when TNT or ESPN televise a Celtics game. 

Take note Eastern Conference playoff teams: every game this spring will be televised by TNT, ESPN or ABC. I doubt anyone is going to want to face the Celtics as they keep creeping towards a berth in this spring’s NBA Finals.
