The NBA Dribbled Out

A few plays that caught my eye the last few days.

I’m gonna write about Danilo Gallinari, so I caught the Nuggets-Grizzlies game from a week ago, and I’m watching their game against Golden State from a couple days ago. At one point in the Memphis game, Rudy Gay was thrown a lob, and somehow caught and dunked it fast enough to avoid the block from a rotating Kennth Faried. Pretty impressive dunk by Gay under the outstretched arm of Faried. 

Then there was Houston’s victory over Chicago. Nate Robinson, perhaps with NYC jealousy, absolutely did not respect the defense of Jeremy Lin during Chicago’s loss. He dropped 22 points in 25 minutes, but it took him 22 shots to do so (he made 9 of them). During one play, he avoids Asik’s help defense by spinning 360 degress in the air for the lay-in past the befuddled Asik (who actually played well against his old mates in the win for Houston). Poor Jeremy did not have a great game, with only 4 points, and he’s struggled shooting the ball this year.

Finally we have Harrison Barnes’ introduction to Nikola Pekovic last night.
