The NBA Dribbled Out

Even though Russell Westbrook wasn’t a huge factor in game 4 (he was only 2 of 10 for 7 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds), he’s still the emotinal fulcrum of the Thunder’s Pendulum, and they’ll need his youthful screams in big games. Nobody yells louder, plays harder and gives a fuck more than Russell Westbrook. I love him for it, and so do the fans.

The Oklahoma City Thunder fans, cheerleaders and celebrity* fans were happy to see the defeated Spurs on the bench at the end of game 4. It’s all evened up at 2, heading back to San Antonio.

*As far as I know Ryan Seacrest is a celebrity; although, I’d also take “annoying nuisance that happens to be on television and the radio” as well.

Look at these James Harden fans.

I figure it’s only right I post 11 photos of Ibaka in commemoration of his 11 for 11 night in game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

He was perfect from the field in a huge win at home.

I don’t enjoy the ubiquity of the word these days, but that’s pure SWAG.

Maybe you didn’t know, but Kevin Durant had a “I’m the fuckin’ mang” moment last night. In the 4th quarter, with the Spurs making a run and cutting the lead to 4 with 6:54 left, Kevin Durant scored 16 straight points to put the Spurs away and tie the series 2-2.

He scored on a variety of mid-range jumpers, an alley-oop from James Harden and basically whatever he wanted. The Spurs tried Manu on him, Stephen Jackson, Tony Parker and I’m pretty sure even Duncan matched-up against him. It didn’t matter.

A Scott Brooks pep talk after a San Antonio timeout with 9 minutes remaining, where Brooks told Durant: “Keep taking it,” lit the fuse and Durant kept burning all the way to a Thunder win.

In the end Durant brought the “nasty,” and the Thunder are headed back to San Antonio with just a best of 3 to win the series and head to their first NBA Finals.
